Origins
A perfumer who trusted her nose to remember what her eyes could not.
SILLAGE began in a borrowed atelier above a shuttered tannery, where the walls had spent eighty years absorbing smoke, cedar and old glue. The first composition was an attempt to bottle the stairwell.
Every scent since has started the same way — not with a brief, but with a room the house refuses to forget. Five compositions later, the method has not changed.
The Craft

Distillation
Raw materials are distilled in small copper stills, some of them older than the house itself. Slow heat, small batches, no shortcuts.

Composition
Every formula is built as a scene, not a pyramid — a place, an hour, a temperature. The notes are cast like characters.

Patience
Compositions rest for a minimum of six months before the house will judge them. Most are finished at night, on skin, in silence.
The Nose

Trained in Grasse, unlearned in Paris. Élise composes exclusively at dusk, when the nose is most honest, and refuses to release a fragrance whose trail she cannot recognise blindfolded.
